Ton up Club
Ton up Club refers to the classic Cafe Racer motorcycles that were produced in Britain in the 1950's and the bikers who rode them (my father being one). Historic names such as Norton, Triumph and BSA evoke times of rebellion and independence. The phrase "Ton up Club" comes from the fact that the motorcycles could get over the magic 100 mph (the ton). The cafe racer image was borne out of the how motorcyclists met and rode together, meeting at cafe's dotted along the A1 highway in England.
